An impressive IPA from the Wadworth range of inventive styles.
8. SCHNEIDER WEISSE AVENTINUS EISBOCK 12%Alc/vol. GERMANY
A classic, but its sheer quality goes to show what it takes to make a world class brew.
9. HEROLD PIVOVAR BLACK LAGER 5.4%Alc/vol. CZECH REPUBLIC
The brew made at the brewery itself is as complex as ever, but beware of the product brewed elsewhere, it is markedly inferior in quality.
Look for the small print on the bottle.
10. ZYWIEC BREWERY 1881 PORTER 9.5%Alc/vol. POLAND
A past winner makes it in the top ten once more with its layered nuisances making it world class. There is a lot going on here in its subtly of flavour backed by leather, dark fruit, fig and mocha warmth.
